Supreme Court: Judicial Council proceedings against Justice Faiz Jesus stopped

The proceedings against the Supreme Court Judge Qazi Faiz Isa and Sindh High Court Judge Karim Khan Agha on the presidential reference filed against him in the Supreme Judicial Council have been stopped.

The Chief Justice said that the reference sent by the President or his opinion could not affect the proceedings of the Supreme Judicial Council.

He said that 9 references are now being heard in the Supreme Judicial Council while the remaining references have been dealt with. However, the Chief Justice did not name the judges against whom proceedings are proceeding in the Supreme Judicial Council.
