It may be recalled that the court has granted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif custody of the NAB on a 14-day physical remand for investigating money laundering charges through Chaudhry Sugar Mills.

On Friday morning, the NAB arrested Nawaz Sharif from Kot Lakhpat jail on money laundering and presented him in Lahore’s accountability court.

On the request of NAB’s lawyer Hafiz Asadullah, Judge Amir Mohammad Khan handed over Nawaz Sharif’s 14-day physical remand to Nawaz Sharif for investigating money laundering charges through Chaudhry Sugar Mills.

After receiving physical remand, Nawaz Sharif was shifted to NAB Lahore office.

It is to be noted that during the proceedings on the money laundering charges against Maryam Nawaz, NAB’s lawyer Hafiz Asadullah Awan informed the court that he was required to investigate Nawaz Sharif in this matter.

For the first time, Nawaz has been detained for investigation by Nawaz Sharif after he was removed from his ministry.

The arrivals to the Judicial Complex were closed on Friday morning through containers.

The PML-N leader arrived at the judicial complex early in the morning due to Nawaz Sharif’s hearing. The first to come included Asif Kurmani and Maryam Aurangzeb, and the series continued until Nawaz Sharif’s arrival.

Rush in the room court caused the temperature to rise, which led to the imprisonment and Nawaz Sharif having difficulty reaching the roster.

According to Nawaz Sharif, former military president-General Pervez Musharraf had made him the NAB to target. The former Prime Minister expressed regret that the NAB is being used against the PML-N and the opposition.

According to Nawaz Sharif, the allegations leveled against him are baseless. When nothing happens, everyone comes to their family business.

Nawaz Sharif is the fourth member of his family to appear before the Accountability Court at the Judicial Complex in Lahore. Earlier, his brother Shahbaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz, two nephews Hamza Shahbaz and Yousuf Abbas were presented for physical remand.
