Leading Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, at the age of 34, is found dead in his own home.
His dead-body is found at his home in Bandra, area of Mumbai, and he has reportedly committed suicide.
According to journalist Madhu Pal, Sushant Singh Rajput’s servant reported the incident to the police and the reason for the suicide is not yet clear.
Born on August 21, 1986 in Patna, in the northern Indian state of Bihar, Sushant lived alone in Mumbai.
After completing his engineering education, Sushant turned to the film world to fulfill his dream.
Initially, he worked as a backup dancer. After that, he worked in a TV serial called ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil‘. Then the TV serial ‘Pavitra Rishta‘ spread his popularity from house to house.
He also starred in the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, after which he became a lot famous and played an important role in Kai Po Che.
Sushant Rajput has acted in many viral films in recent years, including a film based on the life of former India cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
His viral films include Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Kai Po Che (available on Netflix), and Chhichhore.
Besides this, in Aamir Khan’s film ‘PK’, he played the role of Sarfraz, a Pakistani boy who became very popular on both sides of the border of India and Pakistan.
He was also nominated for Best Actor at the Filmfare Awards for ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’.
His film ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke‘ was to be released on science fiction but its shooting was stopped due to lack of budget.
Sushant Singh is not the first young person in the film industry who takes his own life.
Like Sushant, actor Kushal Punjabi, who turned to films after starting his career on TV in December, last year, was found dead in his home, in the Bandra area. Earlier in 2013, young actress Jiah Khan was also found dead in her flat in Mumbai.
